Google adsense has clearly defined in their policy programs that you cannot click on your own ad or you could get ban from the program. We know that if we work hard we could earn a good amount of money from the adsense program. But as a publisher sometimes you could accidentally click on your own ad because you have to many Windows open. There are serveral methods that you could use to prevent adsense from showing on the web page so that you wont be accidentally clicking on it.

Method 1

You could turn off Javascript from loading onto your browser. Adsense uses Javascript to load the Ad into the browser so if you turn off Javascript then it wont Adsense wont be showned.

Learn how to Enable/Disable JavaScript in Internet Explorer

Method 2

The second way to block adsense is to add the adsense site to the restricted zone. Here is how to add it to the restricted zone.

On the menu bar in Internet Explorer click on Tools then Internet Options.

Prevent-accidental-clicks-on-your-own-AdSense-ads-1

Then click on the Security tab and select Restricted Sites, then click on the Sites button. In the Resctricted sites dialogue add in the follow two URLs and then click Close and OK until you have completely exited.

Method 3

The third method is to add the below two lines into the host file on you computer system. Navigate to host file using this path C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and open the host file with notepad. Then in the file insert the below two lines.

127.0.0.1 googleads.g.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

One of this method should be able to help you block adsense from showing up on the web site hence prevent you from accicentally clicking on it.

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: ‘I am blind, please help.’ There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, ‘Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?’

The man said, ‘I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.’
What he had written was: ‘Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.’

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

From this story you can see how amazing that by changing the headline and increase sales by a hundred fold. So the next time when you are trying to make a sale make sure you use an attention grabbing headline as this can increase sale dramatically.
